In this session, we’ll explore how facilitators can use experiential futures approaches to make possible futures more tangible, discussable, and emotionally present for groups.
Rather than focusing on analysis alone, you will learn how to help groups work from a future insight or assumption and translate it into a simple artifact from the future (e.g. a document, object, message, or trace of everyday life), by applying this yourself.
We’ll have time to reflect on how this kind of work can be used responsibly in group settings, and what facilitators need to be mindful of when working with imagination and emotion.
Useful for:
This session will be useful for facilitators who want to experiment with embodied, creative ways of opening up futures conversations.
Important: we often use breakout rooms, whiteboards, and plenary discussions. Please be prepared to turn on your camera, use your mic, and participate.
