 s and techniques to help our clients. They are necessary but not sufficien
 t. To use tools and techniques most effectively\, we need a theory that in
 tegrates and guides which tools and techniques we use\, and how and when w
 e use them.\n\nJoin Roger Schwarz in this session as we explore how usin
 g theory can help you:\n\n 	design facilitations\n 	identify in-real time 
 what is happening in the group\n 	decide where\, when\, and how to interve
 ne with the group\n 	avoid the group using you inappropriately to interact
  with each other\n 	be more transparent and increase client understanding 
 and commitment\n 	understand and shift the theory you are currently and un
 consciously operating from that reduces your effectiveness\, especially in
  challenging situations\n\nThe session includes practices to experiment wi
 th the benefits of using theory and ample time for discussion and your que
 stions. Throughout the session\, we will use the Mutual Learning approach\
 , the theory underlying The Skilled Facilitator approach to illustrate how
