The International Association of Facilitators (IAF) Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Andrew Spiteri as Vice Chair, effective 1 January 2027. Andrew will serve a one-year term as Vice Chair in 2027, preparing to assume the role of IAF Chair for the 2028-2029 term.
Andrew currently serves as IAF’s Regional Director for Europe and the Middle East and brings a wealth of leadership, facilitation, and organisational development experience to the role. A freelance facilitator and management consultant since 2014, he has supported organisations through group facilitation, capacity building, organisational development, and review processes. His professional background also includes diplomatic and commercial counselling experience. Andrew holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Business Management from the University of Malta.
An active member of the IAF community since 2019, Andrew is an IAF Endorsed™ Facilitator and is active in the IAF Belgium Chapter leadership. His contributions to the Association have included service as a Lead Team Member for the Europe and Middle East Region, participation on the Membership Model Review Core Team, support for the Facilitation Impact Awards, and engagement in numerous IAF conferences and Facilitation Forum events.
Throughout his involvement with IAF, Andrew has demonstrated a strong commitment to advancing the profession of facilitation, supporting volunteers, and strengthening our global community.
Per the IAF Bylaws, the Vice Chair is selected from the current Board membership through a vote of the Board. The Board would also like to extend its sincere thanks to the other Vice Chair candidates for their willingness to serve, and ongoing contributions to IAF.
