Meet our Board

The International Association of Facilitators (IAF) is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors.

Directors are elected by IAF members for a two-year term. The Board selects directors to be the Vice Chair and Chair.

Elections are held in August or September each year, and elected directors start their term on 1 January.

Legal structure

The IAF is registered as a non-profit corporation in the State of Minnesota in the United States. The association must comply with Minnesota state statutes that apply to corporations and file an annual renewal each year with the Office of the Minnesota Secretary of State.

The IAF is also recognised as a professional association under section 501(c)(6) of the United States Internal Revenue Code. The association does not pay federal and state income tax in the United States and must file a Form 990, which is a public document, with the Internal Revenue Service each year.
